Our History
Six Decades of Advocacy and Service
The Illinois Independent Automobile Dealers Association was organized in 1965 in Rockton, Illinois, with a clear mission: to protect independent automobile dealers from unnecessary legislation while promoting laws that help dealers serve the public fairly and profitably.
Today, we’re headquartered in Rockford and represent more than 3,700 licensed independent automobile and truck dealers across Illinois. What started as a grassroots effort to give dealers a voice in state government has grown into a powerful association that combines state advocacy with national representation through our partnership with NIADA.

No, IL-IADA does not have attorneys on staff, and we cannot provide legal advice. However, we maintain relationships with qualified vehicle law attorneys and can provide referrals to members who need legal assistance.
How do I become a member?
